PHPC LLP assisted Little Malvern and Welland Parish Council in producing the 'made' Welland Neighbourhood Plan. The Plan includes, amongst other land use matters, a housing allocation within the Malvern Hills National Landscape, an updated development boundary, 7 Local Green Spaces, 4 Neighbourhood Open Spaces and a Design Guide and Code. I worked closely with the Neighbourhood Plan Group to produce the necessary evidence to support the Plan including a Housing Site Assessment, Housing Evidence Paper, Development Boundary Review and Local Green Space report which included engagement with key stakeholders such as Malvern Hills District Council, Malvern Hills National Landscape Partnership and local landowners. The evidence preparation also involved commissioning a landscape architect to prepare a Landscape Sensitivity and Capacity Assessment to support the Housing Site Assessment. Following the independent examination, the Plan was successful at Referendum and was made in April 2024.
